- ➤ Federal childcare payments remain frozen, leaving Montana providers like Billings' Little Seeds Early Childhood Learning Center unsure if necessary funds will arrive, which may raise costs for the 60 families relying on Best Beginnings. Providers hope the pause is resolved before next month's scheduled payments to avoid interruptions in care. KTVQ

- ➤ Teacher Kennedy Stanton at Central Heights Elementary was honored today by the 'One Class at a Time' program for her work boosting student confidence. - ➤ Montana homeowners can now apply for the 2026 Homestead Reduced Rate for permanent tax relief. Homeowners must live in their home at least seven months in 2026 (those who received the 2025 rebate qualify automatically). KULR8

- ➤ A Billings mental health group called Redefining Love has hosted free weekly workshops in small groups since September to make therapy more accessible. Founder Sara Beth Wald said the sessions cover topics like forgiveness and grief — giving participants a less intimidating introduction to talk therapy. KTVQ
