Gas prices in Montana remained steady Monday, Jan.
12 at $2.75 per gallon—reported by GasBuddy.com—and prices were 11¢ lower than a month ago and 2.8¢ lower than a year ago, with a low of $2.52 and a high of $3.39.
🌲 Environment
A mild winter in Montana is leading to increased bear sightings and conflicts occurring later than usual, noted Daniel McHugh, a bear specialist from Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.
Local residents are advised to secure trash and bird feeders and to report bear activity.

The Montana Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons Advisory Council has launched a sponsored license plate with proceeds supporting efforts to reduce missing Indigenous persons in Montana.

Montana will receive over $233M in Fiscal Year 2026 for rural care transformation, announced by Congressman Zinke.
