BUSINESS NEWS

  • Cheba Hut opened on Shiloh Road, creating 50 jobs with full benefits (like insurance and free meals) for workers; the Billings Chamber of Commerce said the new shop will help boost tourism and the local economy.  KTVQ

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Ben Steele Middle School students attended a 'We Are Hope' leadership conference on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at St. John's United Mission Ridge at the Lincoln Center. Over 100 students from all six local middle schools visited nursing homes and schools to build leadership skills and foster empathy.  KULR8

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Sen. Steve Daines visited Sibanye Stillwater’s metallurgical complex on Friday, Feb. 27, as a new tariff on Russian palladium is expected to boost prices and protect Montana jobs. Officials say higher prices + federal trade protections could restore operations and help bring laid-off workers back to work.  KTVQ
