  • Today, strong winds toppled buffalo statues and caused a power outage that left traffic lights malfunctioning across Billings (drivers are urged to treat intersections as four-way stops for safety).  KULR8

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Montana farmers face higher fertilizer costs as global shipping delays from a Middle Eastern conflict push prices up ahead of spring planting. The Montana Farmers’ Union says prices could jump about $50 per ton (raising urea costs by over $700), prompting growers to consider reducing fertilizer use amid uncertainty.  KTVQ

  • Students at Arrowhead Elementary reached a record 233,000 reading minutes and principal Pam Meier kissed a cow during a Friday assembly to fulfill a promise. Meier, retiring at the end of the school year after 14 years, celebrated the milestone in a memorable way.  KTVQ
