- ➤ A group called Access Billings held a walkout at Old Chicago because the restaurant did not have ADA-friendly seating for people in wheelchairs when a lower table was needed. The group said they will take their money elsewhere and contacted city officials while Mayor Bill Cole noted there is no program to ensure restaurants meet ADA rules (a law requires 5% of seating to be accessible) after renovations. - ➤ Billings Police arrested two women after a stolen car they drove crashed into a private home on 24th St W following a chase that began when the car was reported stolen from the 400 block of Howard Ave at 10:40 a.m. on March 26—officers later caught the suspects on foot near the crash site with no injuries reported. The bill would take effect retroactively from Jan. 1 and faced calls in the House Judiciary Committee to delay its impact—some members argued it might let elected officials avoid needed accountability.
