EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Billings Public Schools reported a rise in Indigenous education graduates as academic help and cultural support boosted the graduation rate from below 60 in 22-23 to over 70 in 24-25 — a sign that strong community bonds help students overcome challenges. KULR8
- ➤ Billings Public Schools ask voters to approve two levies totaling $5.1 million to fund safety upgrades and help retain staff at local elementary and high schools. If approved, property taxes for a home valued at ($600k) will rise by about $90 per year. KULR8

- ➤ The National Cancer Institute reported that colon and rectal cancer death rates in Montana peaked at about 15 per 100,000 in 2014 and dropped to nearly 13 in 2023. Colon cancer diagnoses reached roughly 40 per 100,000 in 2015 before falling to about 34 per 100,000 by 2022. KULR8
