- ➤ Ted Purinton has been named the new dean of education at MSU Billings. He brings leadership experience from his role as founding dean at Sharjah Education Academy in the United Arab Emirates + his time as dean and chief executive. Billings Gazette
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Billings and Bright n’ Beautiful have launched the 'Bag It. Tie It. Then BIN It.' campaign to reduce litter with volunteer events planned in Billings and across Yellowstone County while yard waste collection resumed Monday. - ➤ On April 6, Montanans celebrated 406 Day while facing fears that the state’s only area code may run out by 2032. The Public Service Commission voted to have Qwest study ways to delay the change — local residents shared both pride and worry about preserving their identity. KTVQ
- ➤ Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is working with private landowners to open 6.2 million acres for hunting access across the state. Landowners can enroll their property by June 1. KTVQ
