- ➤ Billings-based Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter has expanded its Safety Net Foster Program in partnership with Ronald McDonald House to care for pets as families face medical crises. - ➤ Comedian Matt Rife will perform his Stay Golden Tour at First Interstate Arena at MetraPark on Sunday, June 14 in Billings. Tickets begin selling Friday, April 10 at 10:00 a.m. MST online or at the venue. KULR8
- ➤ The Western Heritage Center in Billings has launched the 'Having a Beer in Billings' exhibit to show rare memorabilia from the local brewing scene (including a Green Death bottle from the old Billings Brewing Company). The exhibit is open through December. KULR8

- ➤ In Billings, Meat Palace owner Jason McKittrick said on Tuesday that domestic cattle shortages primarily drove rising beef prices (Albertsons sold ground beef at about $9 to $10 per pound) despite a minor rise in fuel costs from the war in Iran. KTVQ
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Four girls at Ben Steele Middle School in Billings created TUTR, a tutoring app developed through Code Girls United after school programming, and advanced from the state to the regional round of a national competition — they are fine tuning the app to help classmates connect with peer tutors. - ➤ Billings Public Schools hosted the Future Ready Career Fair for seniors Tuesday morning at the MetraPark Montana Pavilion. Hundreds of students met with local businesses & colleges and military recruiters to learn about life after graduation. KULR8

- ➤ Billings residents are participating in community planning week this week at open houses across the city, including a Tuesday meeting at MSUB City College. They reviewed the 2045 Land Use Plan by using green, yellow, and red stickers to indicate support (and residents can also participate online). KTVQ
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Intermountain Health renovated its diabetes clinic and named it the Reger-Ryan Diabetes and Weight Management Center at a Tuesday ribbon-cutting. Donors (Steve and Debbie Reger and Tom and Maree Ryan) funded the project, and the hospital may hire up to five new providers as patient demand grows. KTVQ
