- ➤ Kristin Burckley, a devoted kindergarten teacher at Meadowlark Elementary, was honored with a $500 grant and a $150 gift card as part of the One Class at a Time program (sponsored by the Education Foundation for Billings Public Schools, Western Security Bank, and City Brew Coffee). KTVQ
- ➤ On Friday, ten high school students spoke at the first TEDxBillingsYouth event at the Lincoln Center, sharing personal insights on authenticity and community (with three guest speakers from out of state). Organizers will post the full speeches online in June. KTVQ
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Billings has a new junior hockey team named the Billings Cattle Punchers; the team will begin its first season this fall and is set to finalize its schedule by June while focusing on player development & strengthening community ties. KULR8
