- ➤ Kennedy Rose Aigner pleaded guilty to deliberate homicide in Yellowstone County District Court after admitting she shot Quaid Fluckiger in the head with a .22-caliber pistol inside a residence on Chicago Road — prosecutors will recommend a 55-year prison term at a later sentencing hearing. KTVQ
- ➤ Billings police used drone technology to track burglary suspects and arrest them after a burglary alert — footage captured the entire operation and the suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty. KULR8
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Yellowstone County schools will ask voters to approve levies in the May 6 election to fund school safety and educational needs, with districts in Laurel, Elysian, Elder Grove and Canyon Creek proposing measures to update equipment and avoid staff cuts. Elysian plans a $120,000 public safety levy — costing about $13.87 per year for a $300,000 home— to replace aging cameras. KTVQ

- ➤ On Tuesday, the Montana Legislature passed House Bill 267—Bobby’s Law—to increase penalties for DUI-related deaths by imposing up to 30 years in prison, a minimum of three years, and fines up to $50,000, memorializing Bobby Dewbre who died in March after being hit by a drunk driver.
