Billings Parks and Recreation and Public Lands Department announced the first Roots and Renewal event for 2026, starting with an Arbor Day celebration at Castle Rock Park + a houseplant swap on May 8.

On Saturday, Billings students from Raza Unida hosted a Cinco de Mayo event at South Park to highlight the growing Hispanic presence & raise funds for a cultural trip to Denver.

The club, active for five years, strengthens local Latino traditions and connects students with their heritage.
