  • Friends, family and members of the Walkers' church are holding a fundraiser at Calvary Chapel Billings this Friday from 5:00-7:30 p.m. to help cover therapy and travel costs for 5-year-old Madeline Walker with cerebral palsy as her small progress inspires further treatment.  KULR8

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Big Sky Reptile Expo returns tomorrow at Metra Park Pavilion from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature educational displays and vendor booths for reptile enthusiasts and families.  KTVQ

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Billings airport hosted a full-scale disaster drill yesterday with hospitals, fire and ambulance teams, Yellowstone County Disaster and Emergency Services, and airline staff testing emergency response procedures — volunteer victims helped simulate realistic scenarios.  Billings Gazette

HEALTH NEWS

  • While on vacation in Canada, Steve Carlson suffered a stroke during a food tour and was transferred on a 19.5-hour ambulance ride to Billings’ Rehabilitation Hospital of Montana, where he is working on regaining mobility in his left arm — his wife Sandy urges travelers to secure proper medical coverage.  KTVQ

SPORTS NEWS

  • PBR announced it will not return with the Unleash The Beast event in 2027 in Billings; instead, the Velocity Tour event is scheduled for next April, giving local fans a new live bull riding experience.  KULR8
  • The Special Olympics Montana Summer State Games opened Thursday in Billings with thousands of athletes competing in track and field at Lockwood School, cycling at MetraPark, swimming at MSUB, and gymnastics at Magic City Gymnastics + events will continue through Saturday.  KULR8
  • The Montana Television Network will air Magic in the Air: Special Olympics Montana 2026 at 6 p.m. today on local CBS affiliates—this 30-minute special spotlights athletes competing at the State Summer Games in Billings from May 13-15.  KTVQ
  • The PBR announced its 2027 tour schedule on Wednesday, and Billings is not included in the Unleash The Beast event after 31 years at First Interstate Arena. Billings will host a Velocity Tour event in April 2027 — reflecting the shift toward larger markets.  KTVQ
