- ➤ On Monday, Memorial Day ceremonies in Billings and Laurel honored those who served at Riverside Cemetery, Mountview Cemetery and Yellowstone National Cemetery—hundreds gathered, including active-duty and retired military—to pay their respects; Sen. - ➤ Billings police are investigating a single vehicle crash on Airport Road along the Rims that occurred just after 10 p.m. Monday night, leaving one person dead and another seriously injured—westbound traffic from the N. 27th Street roundabout to Stoney Ridge Circle was closed while the crash team examined the scene. - ➤ Overnight flooding affected several Billings neighborhoods as repair crews worked to fix a broken sprinkler at the intersection of Yellowstone and 13th Street around 3:00 a.m. and address a significant water main break on Cook Avenue around 9:30 p.m.—crews are still completing repairs. KULR8

- ➤ A fire hydrant leak flooded the 3500 block of Cook Avenue on Sunday night, soaking lawns, driveways and a garage while residents have long dealt with water problems. Neighbors have reported poor drainage on the unpaved street and city crews will return Tuesday — to assess the hydrant amid ongoing concerns. KTVQ
- ➤ As wildfire season begins in Montana, federal leaders are considering combining the duties of five agencies into one Federal Wildland Fire Service to reduce red tape + provide better support for firefighters. U.S. Sen. Tim Sheehy is leading a bipartisan effort that could shift responsibilities from the Forest Service and Interior agencies into a single organization operating year-round. KTVQ
