- ➤ A 16 year old boy's body was found in the Missouri River near a roll off site southeast of Poplar on June 5 after he entered the water on June 3 and search teams used sonar equipped boats to locate him. KULR8
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Yellowstone County Sheriff Mike Linder reported a rise in illegal dumping after a May 29 incident on Popelka Road and Ballard Ivie Road west of Acton when a trailer was used to dump trash, and he urged the community to call dispatch if they spot suspicious activity. KULR8
- ➤ Hackers broke into Lee Enterprises, which owns newspapers like the Gazette in Billings, in February, and a May investigation found they accessed personal data of 39,776 people—officials say no misuse has been found as federal agents work with the company to secure the information. KULR8

- ➤ Family hikers discovered a quiet cave with ancient red pictures on the rock along a rugged trail near the Boulder River Ranger Station on Highway 298 in the Boulder River Valley. Billings rock art expert Tim Urbaniak said the symbols—made between 400 and 1,200 years ago—are fragile and tell a long story while urging visitors to leave them alone. KTVQ
