Billings' new Snug and Thistle Boutique on Gabel Road opened this week and launched a Youth Fashion Board mentorship program for young women.
The boutique offers financial literacy and leadership training in partnership with Western Security Bank, with applications opening in the coming months — owner Wendy Samson said.

Billings residents can join a historical walking tour this summer organized by the Western Heritage Center.
The tour will cover topics from presidential visits and local architecture to the city’s past, including famous brothels.

Hundreds of Jim Darcy Elementary students learned about livestock & heavy machinery during Ag Day on Friday at their school, where indigenous teachings and hands-on activities were part of the farmyard experience.
The event provided a unique learning opportunity on campus.
Montana school boards are considering adding AI policy guidelines for classroom use and may adopt language provided by the Montana School Board Association.
Further discussions will determine how the guidelines balance academic innovation and student safety.

The Montana Department of Livestock issued an emergency animal health order on June 4 after New World Screwworm was confirmed in Texas — animals from infested areas must now have extra permits and inspections before entering the state.
Farmers and pet owners are advised to check their animals for signs of infestation.
