  • On Sunday, Billings bikers gathered at V.F.W. Post 1634 for the Helping Hands Poker Run to raise money for a local child's medical bills. After Letty Catlin passed away on May 13, her family passed the gift to Layne Maddox—bringing bikers together to show support for those in need.  KTVQ

CRIME NEWS

  • A theft removed all the wood and hardware from the windbreak fence at High Sierra Dog Park, and city officials replaced it within a week—restoring a safe and relaxing area for park-goers.  KTVQ

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Crow Tribal Health Department and the Rocky Mountain Tribal Leaders Council are organizing a gathering at Four Dances Natural Area this summer from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to honor an 1825 treaty—preserving sacred lands that historically belonged to the Crow Tribe.  KTVQ

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Billings City Council finished reviewing its proposed budget last week and will adopt the final version in August. The plan has $2.3 million less funding than expected—mainly impacting parks and recreation—and will keep property taxes at last year’s level.  KTVQ

  • Dr. Eric Arzubi of Frontier Psychiatry in Billings will launch an online tool called Project YES by early 2026 to offer free, quick mental health support for rural Montana youth. His studies show that telepsychiatry brings lower hospital stays and fewer emergency visits — a promising step to fight the state's high suicide rates.  Billings Gazette
