Emergency crews rescued a man on Thursday evening after he was found injured on a gravel island in the Yellowstone River beneath the South Billings Boulevard Bridge.

The fire department, sheriff’s office, and rescue team used a high-angle rope system—deployed at about 5:00 p.m.—to reach him and stabilize his injuries before transport.
