- ➤ On June 27, 72-year-old Kyle Geyer got trapped under her lawn mower on a cliff near Flathead Lake after she hit a rock, but two teenagers on a jet ski from Billings saw her waving and rushed to help—calling 911 and staying with her until rescue crews lifted the mower—saving her life. KTVQ
- ➤ Aiden Lueken, a 21-year-old Billings woman, drowned in the Boulder River near Big Timber on July 4 while recreating with her family and her body was recovered by first responders in 20–30 minutes, with officials still determining if she fell or was swimming alone. KTVQ

- ➤ Billings police are investigating a suspected homicide after a 37-year-old woman was found dead in a home on Southern Bluffs Lane following a welfare check request by her in-laws—her partner Anthony Sullivan was arrested in Wyoming during a DUI stop and now faces charges for deliberate homicide and tampering with evidence. - ➤ On July 4, police responded to a call in Billings’ Copper Ridge neighborhood where they found 37-year-old Kari Daily dead after an alleged domestic violence dispute with Anthony Sullivan, who was arrested in Wyoming on suspicion of drunken driving & slated for extradition to Montana, while Daily’s 8-year-old daughter alerted her grandparents & YWCA CEO Erin Lambert stressed the need for domestic violence support. - ➤ Montana leaders say the federal law HR1 signed on July 4 requires states to enforce work and community engagement rules for Medicaid expansion before 2026.
