- ➤ A Billings woman, Genevienne Marlene Rancuret, was sentenced by Yellowstone County District Court on July 17 to 20 years in prison with 5 years suspended—she will also serve 6-month jail terms for misdemeanor convictions of criminal mischief and DUI consecutively to a previous 7-year sentence, pay $5,300.37 in restitution, and was involved in an incident where her Jeep Wrangler repeatedly drove into a downtown religious group, injuring one person. - ➤ Billings police are asking residents for help to identify two people of interest in a shooting linked to a possible homicide—investigators are gathering more evidence. Billings Gazette

- ➤ Starting September, a new federal Missing and Endangered Persons alert system will help law enforcement send notices for missing people who do not meet the strict AMBER criteria in tribal communities—this system was made with input from tribal leaders and law enforcement.
