🏛️ Government
The U.S. Department of Energy issued an emergency order on Sunday authorizing Montana utilities to bring backup generators online amid rising electricity demand from extreme heat.
Yellowstone Valley Electric said the order may help target industrial users in Billings to lower the risk of rolling blackouts.
🏥 Health
Since March, hundreds reported spoiled milk at the Billings Meadow Gold plant, prompting repeated inspections by the Montana Department of Livestock.
Repairs were verified on June 23 and a seventh check occurred on July 27 — no recall has been issued.

Construction has begun on St. John's United luxury housing expansion featuring a 12-floor tower, patio homes and remodeled apartments.
