Billings Public Library launches a new program — partnering with the University of Montana, a social work student will work 15 to 20 hours weekly through April 2027 to help patrons access local services and train staff in trauma-informed care.

Quantica announced that its planned 5,000-acre energy and data center will use 20,000 gallons of water per day with closed-loop cooling and peak at 150,000 gallons during construction (water is drawn from the Deep Madison Group Aquifer via a deep well).

Each fall the Scripps Howard Fund’s campaign If You Give a Child a Book... helps local Title I students choose new books for their home libraries - now celebrating 10 years with nearly 2 million books given nationwide.
Donations support growing reading skills in the community.

Billings Public Schools opened the Sam McDonald Stadium at Daylis with new locker rooms, grandstands, restrooms, and a track for football + soccer events.
The facility honors Sam McDonald, a local athlete and businessman, and marks a refreshed era for school sports.

Head Start Back to School Golf Tournament
Join us Friday, September 11, 2026, at Lake Hills Golf Course for a day of golf, great company, and supporting 200 local children and families. Registration is $650 per team and includes green fees, cart, range balls, dinner, and one drink ticket per player; check-in begins at 11:00 AM with a 1:00 PM shotgun start.
