- ➤ Three people were sent to hospital after a house fire broke out at 826 Avenue C Sunday morning—firefighters said the living room suffered heavy damage and are investigating the cause. KTVQ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Former Montana State Senator Duane Ankney—a champion for Colstrip and a strong advocate for Montana’s energy independence—died at 79. Montana Congressman Ryan Zinke confirmed his passing on Facebook and praised Ankney’s lasting impact on the community. KTVQ
- ➤ Downtown Billings drivers have repeatedly ignored new stop signs near the YMCA, with cameras catching 11 drivers running the sign in less than an hour. City Engineer Mac Fogelsong said brighter striping and flags will be added to stop signs as the downtown two-way restoration project continues—officials hope these changes improve safety and driver attention. - ➤ Dozens of families gathered Saturday at the Billings Hotel and Convention Center to honor organ donors and celebrate the gift of life.
