- ➤ Billings residents are upset as TDS Fiber's underground fiber installation in July damaged park walkways and killed the green grass—neighbor Hans Abbey and Councilman Mike Boyett say the company must restore water service and repair the area. KTVQ
- ➤ Downtown Billings has new stop signs to improve pedestrian safety — many drivers still ignore them, and the Yellowstone Art Museum unveiled an abstract exhibit by Jon Lodge despite budget cuts. A fire broke out on the 800 block of Avenue C on Sunday morning, and three residents were taken to the hospital after escaping damage to their home. KTVQ

- ➤ On Monday, Billings teen Shyrone Wolfblack was sentenced to 65 years in custody for fatally stabbing 17-year-old Bryten Olson during a fight—Olson's mother urged him to live a life twice as good. Billings Gazette
- ➤ Billings man Brian Scott Campbell—who has a history of DUI—was charged with vehicular homicide when he drove under the influence in a crash that killed Savanah Rose Robinson. Billings Gazette
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Billings artist Jon Lodge opened his exhibit Carbon Strata at the Yellowstone Art Museum on Sept. 5 amid a 77% county funding cut, displaying mixed-media works that fill a large gallery and bring the community together. The show runs until Jan. 10 and includes a public reception with a jazz performance on Sept. 19—highlighting a creative response during challenging times. KTVQ

- ➤ MSU Billings Library opened a new space for manga and graphic novels on Monday—transforming old filing cabinets into a vibrant area with over 200 titles funded through Jacket Giving Day and $2,000 from Associated Students of MSU Billings.
