- ➤ Residents at Rose Park Plaza in midtown Billings are forming a tenant union to address delayed repairs and unsafe living conditions — 60% of apartments already support the union and a meeting is set for 5 p.m. today to boost membership. KTVQ
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Several staff at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter fell ill when smoke from burning methamphetamine entered the facility due to a pressure issue with the city-owned incinerator used for drug disposal, and employees evacuated the animals safely. KULR8

- ➤ A Texas man faces federal felony charges after he allegedly bought eagle parts from Montana—where poaching led to the death of 3,600 birds. Billings Gazette
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Governor Gianforte visited the Saint Vincent Hospital site in downtown Billings on Wednesday to review the new project—set to be Montana’s tallest building with 14 floors and over 730,000 square feet—and praised its potential for boosting medical care and creating nearly 1,000 construction jobs. Hospital leaders said current services will continue until the new facility opens in 2029. KULR8
- ➤ Representative Braxton Mitchell — who met Charlie Kirk in 2018 — reflected on Kirk's death earlier this week after the conservative activist was shot while speaking at a Utah university. He warned that political violence must stop and urged that open debate is key to resolving differences. KTVQ
- ➤ The Bureau of Indian Affairs approved the removal of 10 council members from the Northern Cheyenne government—after the Society of Chiefs met to discipline lawmakers who voted in an allegedly illegal session that challenged President Gene Small’s call for an audit of over $91 million.
