- ➤ Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter said it could not house stray or lost pets due to a recent drug incineration mishap that rendered its facility uninhabitable—forcing staff to relocate animals to foster care—and Animal Control is now only responding to calls for vicious animals. The shelter urged residents to microchip and tag their pets while it seeks donations to build a new facility. KTVQ
- ➤ A Billings-based nonprofit held a run on Saturday morning at Josephine Crossing (5k and 10k distances) to raise funds for sex trafficking survivors. Founder Britney Higgs said all proceeds will go to the organization’s residential programs in Montana and support services for survivors, with roughly $100,000 raised so far. KTVQ

- ➤ Early Thursday, 14-year-old Kaeson Perkins was walking to school when a left-turning car hit him at the intersection of Broadwater Avenue and 24th Street West—he flipped in the air and had only minor injuries, and his parents urged drivers to slow down near schools. KTVQ
