  • Lockwood High School student leaders are creating new traditions by hosting events like a homecoming parade that brought together high school, middle, and elementary students. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Billings Police Department said that local veterinary clinics do not have room for stray animals and urged citizens not to bring them, as Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter works to restore normal operations over the next few weeks—officials stress following the guidance.  KULR8

HEALTH NEWS

  • On Sept. 18, 2025, the Heaton family from Worden held their seventh annual Calves to Cure DMD cattle auction at the Billings Livestock Commission — raising thousands of dollars to fund research for Duchenne muscular dystrophy that affects their 11-year-old son, Grant. Local cattle producers donated livestock and raffle tickets, and the event helped boost community support for the fight against this rare muscle disease.  KTVQ
  • Hundreds gathered at William James Middle School for the Out of the Darkness Walk to honor those lost to suicide and promote prevention—Intermountain Health gave out free gun locks to help keep people safe. Lillian Ross shared her personal story about losing her dad to suicide and urged others to ask for help as Montana continues to face high suicide rates.  KTVQ
