Visit Billings is offering a free 3-day registration for the 2025 Montana Outdoor Recreation Summit that will be held Oct.

21-23 — residents can enter by commenting their favorite outdoor recreation activity on Facebook by Oct. 8.

The Billings Symphony brought live music to residents at the Montana Rescue Mission on Sept.

26—its new S.O.U.L. program reached unhoused people in Billings. A woodwind quintet performed a 30-minute set—offering a brief moment of calm as the symphony plans additional outreach events.

Billings City Council member Scott Aspenlieder was accused by the Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter board of contacting a major donor on September 24—shelter officials say he demanded that the donor sway decisions on the incinerator incident.
