The Montana Department of Transportation is asking residents to report any illegal discharges into storm drains or waterways—such as oil, chemicals, or debris—to help prevent pollution.
The agency hopes that these reports will protect Montana’s water resources for a healthier future.
The city of Billings started its annual fall street sweeping operation today with eight sweepers cleaning the streets as autumn leaves pile up.
Residents are advised not to blow leaves into the street and to keep storm drains clear while drivers slow down near the sweepers during the nine-week operation.
