The city of Billings finished a $340,000 netting project at Dehler Park that extends barriers along the first and third baselines to protect fans from fast-flying baseballs + longtime fan Dawn Larimer said the new safety measures will help bring more fans back to the games.

Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter is asking volunteers to help move items from its city-owned facility on Monad Road since the lease ended earlier this month and the shelter must vacate in less than 30 days.

Volunteers (who began moving items this morning) transported stepping stones and kennel fencing to a storage facility in Warden and will move more items in the coming days.

Billings' Magic City Witch Dancers bring a popular German dance trend to town just in time for Halloween — the group started with six dancers and now has 13 regular performers who entertain at events like the Billings Harvest Festival.

They will have a big show at the Downtown Billings Holiday Parade on November 28.
