- ➤ Project Hope in Columbus saw a 10–15 percent rise in food bank visitors in early November due to the shutdown, and Billings officials noted that the city may be reconsidered for the state mental health facility if sites in Miles City and Hardin do not meet standards—officials expect a decision by Thanksgiving. - ➤ Construction on Signal Peak Energy Ice Arena is progressing at Amend Park in Billings as the privately funded rink is set to open early to mid 2026. Its opening will lead to the closure of Centennial Ice Arena and be accompanied by the completion of the adjacent Amend Recreational Center by June 2026 — a $20 million project covering nearly 57,000 square feet for multiple sports.
