- ➤ Staff at Help for Homeless Pets left their 25-year-old shelter because of electrical problems, a leaky roof, and crumbling walls—they plan to move over 100 animals to a city-owned space. In Park City, owner Gary Weitz faced a court review over sewage issues in his apartment complex while a new $5 million fire station broke ground in Miles City to improve local safety. KTVQ

- ➤ BILLINGS, Mont.—Officials at the US Bureau of Indian Affairs Fort Peck on Wolf Point are searching for Precious Mariah Pedraza, a 28-year-old American Indian or Alaskan Native woman last seen October 30 while riding an Amtrak train from Poplar to Seattle; anyone with information should contact local law enforcement or the Montana Missing Persons Clearinghouse. - ➤ Billings romantasy fans will soon see a new themed bookstore opening next year that brings the community together—local women are driving the project. The event Beyond the Chronicles recently received a Visit Billings grant to support the growing trend in the local book scene. Billings Gazette

- ➤ The Education Foundation for Billings Public Schools, Western Security Bank, and City Brew Coffee have partnered to honor outstanding teacher Nicole McIntosh at Riverside Middle School. - ➤ Representatives from Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter and the City of Billings announced they are reviewing a new agreement to let the shelter continue handling stray animals after an incinerator malfunction forced it to relocate in September — the plan may be shared at the city council meeting on November 24.
