- ➤ Billings families can support local holiday assistance programs from KTVQ’s Adopt a Family drive and Toys for Tots as they help save Christmas for those in need. Donors can drop off gifts at designated locations (3203 Third Ave. N. and Kirkness Roofing, 144 Moore Lane) with deadlines through Dec. 12. KTVQ
- ➤ Misfit Toys, a nonprofit founded by local mom Lindsey Merrill, will host a free toy shopping event at Canvas Church on Dec. 13 to help families in need; donations are accepted until Dec. 10 at community spots (Mazevo Coffee shops, Homestead Storage, King of Glory Lutheran Church, and more). - ➤ RiverStone Health is moving forward with plans to purchase and demolish the Colonial Apartments on Billings’ South Side and build a resiliency center offering food, clinical and housing services. Officials say community agencies will help relocate tenants while no taxpayer funding is used. KULR8

- ➤ Billings West High School students showed creativity in a cooking challenge inspired by (Chopped) today. In Mrs. Gay's class, teams used mystery ingredients like Spam and mandarin oranges to create dishes and practice teamwork and time management. KULR8
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Demolition of Daylis Stadium bleachers has begun in Billings; the project is estimated to cost about $14.9 million and relies on private donations & public funds as additional contributions are needed. Billings Gazette
- ➤ The DEA launched its Fentanyl Free America initiative to reduce fentanyl supply & educate the community on the drug’s dangers. The effort follows an October seizure of over one million pills and aims to involve local youth to prevent further deaths. KULR8
- ➤ Last Thursday, the Montana Fish-and-Wildlife Commission capped non-resident deer hunting licenses at half the usual number and cut resident tags from 8 to 3 to ease public-land crowding; the change may lead to 2,500 fewer licenses and a $1.7 million annual revenue shortfall. KTVQ
