  • Harvest Church addressed concerns after a reported social media threat before a December 10 worship service by consulting with the Billings Police (BPD); no weapon was found and its Next Gen Pastor Caleb Hamilton will contact families to say involved students will not be allowed back.  KULR8

EDUCATION NEWS

  • A state judge ruled that Montana's law allowing education savings accounts for special needs students is unconstitutional — it lacked proper funding during the legislative process. The program will remain on hold until lawmakers address the funding issue.  KTVQ

HEALTH NEWS

  • Billings fire officials and heating technicians stress the need for caution as colder weather arrives; residents are urged to use space heaters safely, inspect Christmas lights for cracked wires, check smoke alarms, & maintain furnaces to avoid winter emergencies.  KULR8

SPORTS NEWS

  • MSU Billings women's basketball is gaining momentum with many new players and the return of Kyla Momberg — a state champion from Box Elder — who missed the game for a year before getting back on the court. The Yellowjackets will face Lethbridge Polytechnic tomorrow at home.  KTVQ
  • Billings West tight end Matt Ludwig was released from his letter of intent at Michigan following head coach Sherrone Moore's firing on Wednesday — Ludwig said he requested the release and will now open his recruitment to other college programs.  KTVQ
  • After Montana beat South Dakota State 50-29 in the second round of the playoffs, the Grizzlies will host No. 11 South Dakota on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Washington-Grizzly Stadium, with coach Bobby Hauck and QB Keali'i Ah Yat previewing the matchup on the latest Griz Insider.  KTVQ
  • Montana State defensive back Caden Dowler of Billings West has intercepted five passes + recorded a game-changing pick-six in his playoff wins over Washington during the past four games. The Bobcats will try to extend his streak in the quarterfinal against Stephen F. Austin at 7 p.m. today.  KTVQ
