  • Santa made a special visit to the NICU at Saint Vincent Hospital — a nearly 30-year tradition that brings comfort to families celebrating their baby's first Christmas — offering a moment of joy amidst challenging times.  KULR8
  • Santa flew into Billings on Dec. 18 by plane+ giving his reindeer the night off, and he read Christmas stories to local children at Logan International Airport ahead of the holiday run.  KULR8

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Yellowstone County property owners could face a tax increase on second-half bills due next May because last-minute state tax relief bills created timing problems; county commissioners approved a resolution on Tuesday (urging the Department of Revenue to recertify property values) to help cover a shortfall for local schools.  KTVQ
  • Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter signed a six‐month contract with the City on Dec. 10 after a methamphetamine smoke mishap at its on‐site crematorium led to evacuations and hospitalizations. The shelter is operating from a temporary space while it searches for a permanent home for local animals.  KULR8
