GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Yellowstone County property owners could face a tax increase on second-half bills due next May because last-minute state tax relief bills created timing problems; county commissioners approved a resolution on Tuesday (urging the Department of Revenue to recertify property values) to help cover a shortfall for local schools. - ➤ Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter signed a six‐month contract with the City on Dec. 10 after a methamphetamine smoke mishap at its on‐site crematorium led to evacuations and hospitalizations. The shelter is operating from a temporary space while it searches for a permanent home for local animals. KULR8
