Billings police officers delivered toys and extra gifts to children in the Inpatient Pediatric Unit at Billings Clinic this Thursday to spread holiday cheer.

Lt. Eric Schnelbach organized the drive with help from his police team and clinic staff.

After nearly 80 mph winds on Wednesday damaged festive displays, local decorator Mark Bolt spent Thursday repairing his 82,000-light installation (ZooMontana briefly closed to fix its Holiday Nights exhibit) before welcoming visitors again.

The holiday lights will remain bright until New Year's Eve.

The inaugural Winter Solstice Native Art Market held Saturday at The Paper Mill on Montana Avenue showcased 27 Indigenous artists offering crafts, food and live music.

Organized by Cora Chandler and Bethany Yellowtail, the event created a space for cultural exchange and economic opportunity for Native makers in Billings.

Once a Montana State fan, he now supports both teams because of personal ties and cherished championship memorabilia.
