Marian Lyman presented the Montana Moth Project on Friday, Oct 3rd at ZooMontana's Community Room where she explained how moths help nature—today the Billings Fire Department opens its station at Fire State 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. while the All Hallows Medieval Fantasy Faire runs from 10 a.m. today to 6 p.m. and continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to raise funds for North Park improvements.

On Sept. 15, the Montana Family Foundation sent a letter to school districts warning that allowing biological males in female restrooms, locker rooms, and changing areas would break federal law and deny girls equal access to education.

Derek Oestreicher, the foundation’s chief legal counsel, said Title IX should keep these spaces separate—ensuring future policies protect female students.

The DEQ has proposed a maximum fine for CHS after the refinery failed 32 out of 44 wastewater toxicity tests from June 2021 to January 2025, which detected toxic discharges into the Yellowstone River.
