- ➤ An early Tuesday morning fire in Lockwood off of Johnson Lane destroyed a home and killed four pets—leaving homeowner Valerie Ellis hospitalized after trying to rescue them and losing all her belongings including her business. KTVQ

- ➤ Montana's First Lady Susan Gianforte has joined NonStop Local and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library of Montana to run a Giving Tuesday book drive for children from newborns to five. The Connect Center will open tomorrow—volunteers will answer questions and sign up families for free book deliveries. KULR8
- ➤ On Giving Tuesday, families in Billings and across Montana embraced the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, a program that sends free, age-appropriate books each month to children from birth to five. Local parent Melanie McKee said her daughter feels excited when she gets a book + the program helps young readers develop early skills. KULR8

- ➤ Billings Streets Division is still working to clear icy roads after the first heavy winter storm of the year using plows, salt and sand as extra snow and a flash freeze made streets dangerous. The crew is focusing on busy routes such as Zimmerman Trail and Skyway Drive—covering over 1,200 miles of city streets. KTVQ
- ➤ Local officials will begin installing new safety features at the busy Mary and Bitterroot intersection this week after several serious crashes and long-standing neighbor concerns. City, county and state teams chose improvements like larger edge-lit stop signs and reflective stop bars to boost visibility—some residents worry that more changes may still be needed. KTVQ

- ➤ Randy Searer, a 61-year-old Montana auctioneer and rancher, met the family of his life-saving liver donor, Nikki Leep—who died last September in Billings after a brain aneurysm—in a heartfelt reunion in late November.
